The Aidilfitri Dessert Collection

The Aidilfitri Dessert Collection

My first-ever venture into making food-to-order is here!

Presenting to you my Aidilfitri Dessert Collection. I came up with this idea because year after year, whenever I attended open houses over Raya, it was very hard to find snacks at the coffee table that were free from egg, dairy and honey. I also find that most Raya snacks seem too cheap to be even minimally good for your health.

Whether you are seeking healthier ways to celebrate this Raya, trying to make more conscious consumer decisions, or even just curious to try something new, these tasty bites fit the bill!

– Lovingly handmade to order

– Free from egg, dairy, honey, trans fats, artificial colours and flavours

– All natural ingredients

– Packed and delivered in compostable packaging

FAQ

ORDERS

Why do I need to order at least 2 days in advance before 2pm?
The food preparation is pretty much a one-person show and every dessert piece is crafted by hand with love and care. It’s very important to me that you receive nothing but my best efforts to share great food with you.

Can I order if I live outside Malaysia or outside the Klang Valley?
Unfortunately, due to the natural ingredients and very short shelf life of these desserts, it would not be possible to deliver outside the Klang Valley or outside Malaysia. However, there are plenty of delicious dessert and other types of recipes on this website, that I’ve created so that anyone in the world can try my food through your hands!

Are there any other ways to pay aside from bank transfer?
Currently no, sorry!

FOOD

Are these desserts healthy?

In terms of ingredients, I’d say that Matcha Picchu is the healthiest one in this dessert range. Overall, there are healthy elements I’ve incorporated e.g. avoiding colouring, margerine and/or vegetable shortening and replacing white sugar with unrefined brown sugar. Although I wouldn’t recommend eating any kind of dessert in excess, I’d consider this dessert collection to be generally healthiER than mass-produced Raya snacks made with cheap, overly processed and/or artificial ingredients.

Are these desserts organic?
Unfortunately not fully organic, due to two reasons: striving to keep costs low to make these desserts accessible to all, and also the unpredictability of ingredient availability during the Movement Control Order in Malaysia. That being said, I have done my best to source for the best quality ingredients from reputable suppliers.

Are these desserts gluten-free?
Only Dream Cloud is free from gluten. Matcha Picchu can be made gluten-free upon request (a surcharge may apply).

How about other common allergens?

The chocolate in Dream Cloud contains soy in the form of soy lecithin, and may contain traces of milk, cereal and nuts. Sun More Time and Matcha Picchu do not contain tree nuts or peanuts; they respectively contain sunflower and pumpkin seeds. However, I won’t be able to guarantee that the factory these seeds came from have used the same machinery to process nuts. For other allergen concerns, refer to the full ingredient listings provided.

How long can I store these desserts for?
Sun More Time – in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to a week, or 2-3 weeks in the fridge.
Matcha Picchu – in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 4 days, or 2-3 weeks in the fridge. Can be frozen for up to 6 weeks.
Dream Cloud – in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Due to the natural ingredients used, the taste may alter slightly if kept longer, but they will still be edible for up to a week. Even better – keep them in the freezer and they will last for 2 weeks! For the best experience, consume within 24 hours.

PACKAGING

Why is your food packed entirely in paper-based products?
I’m a vegan for many reasons, the environment included. As much as I would love to share my love for food with you, I also don’t wish to contribute to your single-use plastics consumption. Paper can be a little pricier, but I’m happy to absorb the cost for a little less plastic trash in the world. I would advise that you transfer the desserts into an airtight container and store them in the fridge if they are not being consumed within 24 hours from the day of delivery. Oil is a contaminant in the paper recycling process. So if your packaging gets stained with oil by the time it reaches you, you can compost it instead.

Thanks for reading and I look forward to sharing my love of food with you!
