One of the ways I educated myself about the plant-based diet was through film. Although books were fantastic to go in-depth with the topic, the visceral effect of watching films really helped to seal the deal about my decision to go vegan.
If you’d like to have your eyes opened too, here’s a Top 5 list I’ve compiled. Each of them use different angles to highlight the ethics behind a plant-based lifestyle.
It’s a good mix here… there’s informational, there’s fun, and of course there’s shocking (if real-life horror is something you can stomach), but all send a powerful message home. They flip societal norms upside down. They’ve made me go, “What?! But… Why? How?!” And I think it’s healthy to be shaken up like that once in a while. It’s moments like those that have helped me grow, not just in wisdom, but also in general consciousness and intuition. I don’t accept things at face value. I observe, wonder and question. It has helped strengthen my spirit and, in, turn, made me a better person for myself and my loved ones. I hope these films will do the same for you.
