Being in a cultural melting pot like Kuala Lumpur, we get exposed to all sorts of cuisines. It seems that Indian food is plentiful, namely in Mamaks, casual food stalls run by Indian Muslims that churn out fresh Indian Muslim food cafeteria-style every couple of hours, a lot of them 24 hours a day. That’s the Indian food we have access to almost everywhere. It’s cheap, it’s fast, it’s not always healthy but it sure can be the best fix you can find to get through a busy day.
The Ganga is different.
The cafe takes a lot of pride in the quality of its North and South Indian options. It’s not always fast, and it’s not the cheapest food you can find, but it is made as healthily as possible, and the layers of flavour in each bite says a lot about the time and effort that goes into the cooking. It’s Indian cuisine at its lushest.
If you are on the lookout for some food in KL that will make you wish you had a second tummy, get yourself to The Ganga.
Here’s a video that highlights their deservedly popular Sunday brunch buffet.
